I think PNW ships with v1.07 or thereabouts of VLM.EXE, but I think there have always been problems with reconnection. Ctrl-Alt-Delete ought to shut down the PNW server neatly, similar stopping the server and then rebooting, but that'll send messages to stations (I think) saying 'I'm gone, tear down your connections immediately'.
