I get an "ok" from the modem, so it looks good. The only issue was minor: the OPENDOS emm386 syntax requires /exclude rather than X for reserving UMB space. I used PCMSETUP rather than the install, and it came right up.. Thanks: I'll package this up in a zip file with notes so it doesn't get away.
