I just learned, that the 4DOS 7.0 command shell is available for download as BETA on JP Soft´s site (http://www.jpsoft.com). I´m currently testing their product on a number of old and recently introduced compatibility issues in conjunction with the DR-DOS 7.xx family, and I´d like to invite you all to test their new version with DR-DOS, so we can make sure it runs well on our preferred DOS. If you find any shortcomings or have feature suggestions, please report them to them ASAP, so they can fix them before the 4DOS 7.0 product will be released. If you like, I will also incorporate your (detailed) findings into my own reports, if you send them to me. But IMHO, 4DOS is one of the few outstanding software pearls written for DOS, which is still being developed and maintained. So, they deserve any help we can give them by testing their product under DR-DOS. The more feedback the get from DR-DOS users, the more they´ll recognize DR-DOS as a plattform that still must be continued to be supported by them - and this helps us to get a better product.
