Judging from the last two years of posts to the list you are in a very crowded room, sometimes a boistrous crowd. Most people on the list are only too happy to help when they can. However, I commend you on trying to read the whole manual before installing the system. A lot of us just jump in with both feet and then go back and patch until we get upset enough to dump it all and do a new install. From the posts, I think I have seen at least 12 people who could not bother with learning about the DOS system and went back to Windoze since it was so easy to install. In my experience, except for M$4.X, most of the DOS packages since 3.0 have had a pretty well automated install program, unless you had exotic needs, like programming large databases or debugging large programs, and then you really do have to study your manuals and dig deep into the Tech stuff. That is when it is really nice to have a Network of experienced users like this and other lists to help you. I am sure there is more traffic between members of this list going direct and off the list than you will ever see on the list. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!! On Mon, 1 Jan 2001 16:49:10 -0500 (EST) "Paul O.
