The only time I have > ever heard of VMS is from Digital. How would Microsoft base NT on > something from Digital? If you ever check out ads for Digital, you will notice that you can purchse either VMS or NT for them. I am referring the the AXP (or is it APX) CPU series of computers. I doubt that anyone was seriously talking about a VAX. If I recall correctly, Digital wanted $2000 for VMS, so most people opted for the NT. Just run Linux and screw them all!!!!!! Linux is available for the DEC computers, free! I don't have too many things to say about DEC sinced the booked out of here and moved their plants to Mexico. We had one here and several years ago they shut if down and laid off all of the employees, just to get cheaper labor from Mexico. At one time I was seriously thinking of buying one and runnit Linux one it. However, after they pulled that crap, I don't have much use for DEC. I once applied for a job with them when I liver in Colorado. They have/had a plant in Colorado Springs. They just booked from here and left empty buildings. I don't know if they are even in Co. now, haven't been to the Springs for several years. Pat _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
