I don't know of any such problem. I would be interested in the exact (!) partitioning and type of all drives found on this system (physically as well as logically). For example, if NWCACHE would detect some of the drives as removable media, this would be the reason not to delay any writes on them. Are there any special media related drivers loaded, e.g. CD-ROM drivers, ZIP, JAZ, etc. drivers? Bus-master drivers? If so, I would try to remove them temporarily to isolate the problem. In this case I would also be interested in CONFIG.SYS/AUTOEXEC.BAT. I might be able to help. One more thing to check, although this would affect all drives: NWCACHE cannot delay any writes with VERIFY ON. Please ensure that VERIFY OFF is in effect.
