You can control some of them in other ways then just exiting the program, although the best one for keyboard control is for Windows (WinAMP). The keys Z-B can be used for controlling everything you need there. WinAMP also comes with newer Netscape downloads. Open Cubic Player lets you shell to DOS and continues to play the *current* file. Beware that to play a ca 4MB MP3 you'll need ca 8MB XMS. I've been thinking on buying 128MB just to be able to put MP3s together to play 64 minutes (1 minute is approximately 1MB). It would probably make Windows happier as well. Open CP can be downloaded from: http://www.cubic.org/player/ BTW: Open CP is also one of the few MIDI player that will actually *play* MIDIs on SoundBlaster 16 cards (the de facto standard among sound cards). >But how can you play mp3 files under dos? > >How do you stop the play in the middle? > >Can you do other work while the file plays? //Bernie http://bernie.arachne.cz/ DOS programs, Star Wars ...
