This should do it. While this holds true, I now read the whole thread and learnt that this does not apply to you as you *are* trying to access a FAT partition in a logical drive... Stupid me... I can think now only of a driver conflict. I think a PARTINFO (download from Powerquest) listing of your partitioning and CONFIG.SYS/AUTOEXEC.BAT would help. Try: PROMPT $N$G c: and please tell the exact error message (if there will be any).
