I've got Pegasus Mail v3.40 for DOS. Well, since I've lost my DOS hard drive and all the goodies I won't be able to consult my configuration files for any tips so... I assume you already have DOS internet stuff setup such as PPP and all that. If not check out dospppd for PPP and dialer. There are other dialer setups included in other packages like the Arachne and Bobcat/Lynx browsers which use dospppd but with different dialers. You'll need a mail transport agent so you can retrieve/send mail with Pmail. A few choices are pmpop, smtpop, and uh, hmm, I forgot the other one and I used to use it. :-/ Oh yeah, popgate/smtpgate I think. A lot of folks swear by smtpop. Pmpop and popgate can be used from within pmail, not sure about smtpop. At either the site below in my sig or at http://www.fdisk.com/doslynx/ is a link to a site with info on setting up Pegasus DOS. I believe it's Dan Komaromi's(?) site. Info on popgate is at Tvdog's site below. Been away from DOS too long now. Startin' to get the shakes. :-) -- >>ANIME SENSHI<< Marc D.
