Specifically, Microsoft asked the U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City for nine partial summary judgment motions to dismiss key claims by Caldera. The motions attempt to debunk Caldera's claims that Windows 95 included an "illegal tie" of the MS-DOS operating systems and earlier versions of Windows, Microsoft officials said. The Redmond, Wash.-based vendor also asked the court to drop claims alleging Microsoft intentionally designed Win 3.1 to be incompatible with the DR-DOS OS." per WinFile Update ISSN 1098-1462 WinFiles.com's Weekly Email Newsletter February 14, 1999, Vol. 3, No. 7 Also see Charming how to tough get going in court when they are backed up against the wall in several palces at once :-/ john O
