My apologies. It's not a UNIX shell account, rather the account you dial into is designed in something called "M-script", a proprietary thing the ISP has created. It lets someone connect with a terminal programme if they can't use their browser for some reason, and do non-graphical e-mail and browsing. One of the m-script commands is "ppp" and you have to type this as the final thing in your log-on script. Steven Hurdle
