This computer is both a Personal NetWare client and server, and accesses a second PNW server. There are currently no Netware servers on the network (but that's bound to change). C32 does support PNW, but not straight from the distribution files. The PNW component of the client seems to be missing, and, of course, so's the PNW server component. So far I've managed to get the SERVER.EXE loaded by editing the STARTNET.BAT file from C32, adding the SERVER.EXE line just before the LOAD CLIENT32.NLM line. This allows all the other workstations to see this computer as a PNW server, but doesn't allow the computer to see itself! Because there is no PNW.NLM to load I'm now loading all the VLMs from the DR-DOS distribution, instead of the CLIENT32.NLM from the C32 distribution. This has made this computer terribly unstable. Is anyone else using Client32 with Personal NetWare? How'd you do it? Is it stable? Room for improvement? Is there a Personal NetWare module for Client32 planned by Caldera? Novell has dropped support for PNW, and will not be releasing any further upgrades to Client32 for the DOS/Win platform (C32 for DOS/Win3x is frozen at v2.6, but C32 for Win9x is now at v3.02). One of the main reasons for switching to Client32 is the support for TCP/IP and a dial-up connection. Is there a TCP/IP protocol driver available for PNW? A PPP link driver? Thanx in advance! ===== Bob Jonkman SOBAC Microcomputer Services 4 Gold Pine Court Voice: +1-905-793-4537 Brampton ON L6S 2K6 Canada mailto:bjonkman AT sobac DOT com Networking -- Office & Business Automation -- Consulting PGP Fingerprint: 9F AF A6 AC B5 67 BC 10 89 73 7C F0 CB 27 03 17 PGP ID: AE33E989 mailto:bjonkman AT sobac DOT com?subject=send_key
