Not sure. But I think it's strength is the installation and management of different operating systems, whereas Partition Magic's strength has always been manipulating partitions. I have lot's of confidence in Partition Magic's ability to juggle partitions for you, but you have to make the intelligent decisions about what that will allow you to do. I have used PM to install partitions for OS/2, various DOS'es, and WIN95, and then used other programs to switch from one op sys to the other. I understand that System Commander on the other hand is very deft at juggling system files and things in order to allow multiple operating systems to reside where they would not ordinarily coexist. I have a copy that arrived after I'd already solved some problem and have never used it. The manual indicates you can manage 32 FAT compatible op systems on a single primary DOS partition. This is not the kind of thing Partition Magic attempts. The latest release of PM seems very thorough in it's ability to deal with the various ways the different operating systems layout a hard disk. It leaves it to other software or your own cleverness to figure out how to keep a carnivore like WIN95 from ruining your other operating systems. May MS rot in h*ll.
