So forgive me if any of these issues are resolved already... 1. COMMAND.COM copy with wildcards creates copies of files with long names when the originals don't have long names. 2. Is it possible to change logname behaviour (other than shutting it off completely) so that.. dir | find "abc" > my.list edit mylist does the expected thing (in other words the shortname for "my.list" should be "my.lis" optionally, especially in batch files. 3. Why are some system files locked so virus scanners cannot check IBMBIO.COM, etc on *any* drive? (Try running F-PROT). 4. Is TASKMGR able to use a swap file as well as RAM if it isn't in switcher mode? 5. The new FDISK is good, but after creating a FAT32 logical partition it calls that "D:" in its list and doesn't assign a drive letter to the real D: (FAT16 partition). 6. The (slightly) annoying thing with the new FDISK is having to type "19" to get to the next page... I wish ENTER or PgDn would do that job. 7. Has anybody found a version of (pk)unzip that works in DRDOS with long names? (I think none of the PKUNZIP 2.5+ ones work with DRDOS). --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Aitchison, \_ Phone: +64 3 364-2947 home 337-1225 Dept of Physics & Astronomy, <| Fax: +64 3 364-2469 or 364-2999 University of Canterbury, /) Web: www.phys.canterbury.ac.nz/~physmsa Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND.
