Hm, I m trying hard not to use VFAT LFNs at all (because of their incompatible design), but when I tested 4DOS and LONGNAME BETA 2 and BETA 3 some while ago, 4DOS easily accepted LONGNAME as LFN API provider. Some 4DOS DIR options, though, had problems displaying the date correctly, and I tracked this down to at then times unimplemented API functions. However, as far as I remember, these problems had gone with BETA3 (which is the issue I was referring too). I remember there has been a 4DOS.INI directive to change its default detection method of a LFN API (but I don t recall its name right now), maybe this is where to search for the problem...
