To improve codec (and thereby the amount of moives) Sorenson decompresion should be added to QV. Please, if you think that this should be done send an e-mail to: mcupal AT s-vision DOT com and tell him that you want him to ad support for Sorenson to QV so that we the DOS users can access all new QuickTime movies (QuickTime 3.0 movies are often saved by using this codec). He is NOT the author of QV! Only mail him about letting QV get support for Sorenson decompresion. We need support in DOS for all the new popular file formats that exists - this is just one of them, RealAudio is another. When I wrote he answered me: >QV support is purely a resource and support issue. Unfortunately at this >time I don't have any engineering resources to allocate to this project. >I'm keeping a close eye on the issue of DOS support, however, and if there >is sufficient calling for the effort we'll get it done. > >Your letter helps me know that there is a need for the product. If we all but our efforts together we posiblly can make him give Wolfgang Hesseler the code heīs needing. Thanks in advance (and please if you reply to this - donīt let all of my message be in it - just the part you are reffering to). //Bernie
