The way to prove it is to delete it (from DOS) and start Windows, you will get an error stateing that the swap file is corrupt...blah...blah...blah. Just create a new one after that go to your control pannel and check the size under the 386 enhanced area (vertual memory). Windows offten reconends a swap file 3 or 4 times the size of your physical memory, if you have less than 8 megs ram that is ok but if you have 16 megs or more just make it 1 or 2 times or less. You can change the size Windows recomends by changeing the PAGEOVERCOMMIT= line in the [386ENH] section of your system.ini. At 09:08 AM 6/28/98 +000, Mark F.
