If not, then there's no need to use driveparm or driver.sys to make this happen, simply change your cmos by running the cmos setup utility (built-in on most systems) though some need a special boot disk for this purpose. If it's an xt you're using, then honestly, anything above dos 3.3 is a waste of memory on such a system.
