Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Precedence: bulk I have been evaluating OpenDOS 7.02(DR-DOS) on 8 networked PC's (486) with at least 8 MB of RAM. Windows 3.11 was also installed on each PC. Symantec's "Q&A" is being shared and setup to run through Windows. I have attained a fair amount of stability and eventually hope to add Intranetware. Before proceeding with the DR-DOS element , however, I need to resolve these issues: 1) One PC that is configured as a user only locks up when Windows loads if it is mapped to any resource. If the user is logged in and not mapped to a resource Windows will load, but locks up within a few moments. I am able to warm boot. 2) EMM errors are more routine on all units and require a cold boot. The message sites an unknown conflict with a device driver. 3) The third is a configuration issue. When configuring NWCACHE with the SETUP utility all proceeds normally, but "save and restart" does not edit the AUTOEXEC file. I use the EDIT utility to add the line loading NWCACHE, but if I use SETUP for any reason and "save and restart" it deletes the line. I recognize these issues lack clarity, but I am just looking for a place to start. I also recognize I may not be assembling the appropriate components. Any insight you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mike
