Williams asked: > Anyway, any chance this lfn feature will work with 4DOS (or if > JPSoft's thinking of supporting it)? Yes it works, though there have been some problems when I tested it with LONGNAME beta 2 and 4DOS 6.00a. Sometimes I got blank columns on DIR due to unimplemented APIs in LONGNAME beta 2, but I think they have been added with beta 3. If I remember well, there was also a 4DOS.INI settings Win95SFN=??? to modify 4DOS algorithms of evaluating LFNs for SFNs. However, there are a few other problems 4DOS has with DR-DOS, and they can only be solved by JP Soft. E.g. 4DOS support for DR-DOS passwords is very crude, and it is almost impossible to access files in password protected directories. There are also some syntax incompatibilities, but in general 4DOS works great on DR-DOS.
