Please double-double check you are not using FAT32! ;-) This is the most common reason why it does not work, and many people do not even know, they are using FAT32... I assume LOADER does not show up for some reason, and DR-DOS starts booting, alright? If this is the case, try: LOADER boot.lst from the DR-DOS prompt (You could do the same after re-installing Windows95 to re-enable to boot DR-DOS 7.02 using LOADER). Does it say it was successful? Possible reasons, why LOADER did not show up: - Are you booting from a different drive than C: using a BIOS setup option or another boot loader? - Do you have a BIOS based / hardware based virus checker enabled, which refuses to let SETUP/INSTALL/LOADER write to the MBR record on disk? If this is the case, you would need to disable this feature to install LOADER. Afterwards you can re-enable it again. - Do you have non-FAT partitions on your drive(s), e.g. HPFS, NTFS, ext2fs, or FAT32. Usually, everything should work fine, but it's worth trying to reassign the order of such partitions in the partition table. - Do you have special software installed in the MBR, like for example a copy protection or encryption driver? These may sometimes interfer with LOADER. Please tell us, if one of these tips helps...
