If I right understand, original author want _shell_ with _scripts posibilities_ (see REXX above), not full translator, in addtion which is not portable (DJGPP not works on and for 8086/80186/80286). I don't know no one good solution. :( IBM sold REXX for DOS in PC DOS, JP Software sold 4DOS/4OS2/4NT and I see some shareware utilities for compiling .bat with extended language. And all? :(
