Subject: question shelling-out to dos

  listers,
     A text editor in a net program I use allows for the shelling out to dos
and do other operations before returning with exit when desiring.  What I
have noticed is that frequently but not always I recieve an error:  "error
in the call to command.com, press any key to continue".  I cannot predict
when this happens however it happens more often than not.  My shell path has
command.com in the opendos directory and I have a copy of command.com in the
root with the +h attribute.
    Is this caused by my applacation or is there something I am missing in
opendos?
