I decided to attempt to install OpenDOS 7.02B2. I did this. The boot loader installed. I had my previous autoexec and config files that I copied to dconfig.sys and autodos7.bat. and then added /p:autodos7.bat to the shell line in dconfig.sys. I thought this would be fine. I rebooted and chose OpenDOS from the boot menu. My computer began to beep incessantly. I did a step-by-step of the OpenDOS boot and the beeping begins when I say yes to process the autodos7.bat file. This is it: @ECHO Off PATH C:\OPENDOS;C:\NWCLIENT;C:\;C:\NU;C:\QDOS;C:\DOS\UTILITIE;C:\WINDOWS;C:\ZIP;C:\MCAFEE\VIRUSCAN emm386 PIC=ON SET MOUSE=C:\GPOINT SET TEMP=C:\WTMP DPMI OFF VERIFY OFF PROMPT [OpenDOS] $P$G SET OPENDOSCFG=C:\OPENDOS LH D:\DEV\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001 /V /M:10 rem LH C:\OPENDOS\NWCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001 /V /M:10 C:\CTCM\CTCU /S SET SOUND=C:\SB16 SET BLASTER=A220 I9 D1 H5 P330 E620 T6 SET MIDI=SYNTH:1 MAP:E MODE:0 C:\SB16\DIAGNOSE /S C:\SB16\AWEUTIL /S C:\SB16\MIXERSET /P /Q LH C:\GPOINT\GPOINT SET SYMANTEC=C:\SYMANTEC SET NU=C:\NU Anybody have any ideas? I tried placing Pause statements after each line but it didn't work. apparently it's not even processing the first line of the file.
