I just want to have a back door to linux if i need to (and with > DOS running,i could revert to DOS each time i need to) I'm pretty sure you can't do that. You can kill DOS and run Linux, You might be able to put DOS in suspended animation, saving its RAM etc to DISK, and restore it when Linux finishes. Best to run DOS within Linux. I've had a lot of success multibooting OS/2, OpenDOS, Novell DOS, MSDOS, Win95 and Win NT, and am tempted to also run more versions of DOS with Linux and OS/2. There are an amazing number of "gotchas" though, so some kind person should start a web page or FAQ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Aitchison, \_ Phone: +64 3 364-2947 home 337-1225 Dept of Physics & Astronomy,
