There are 2 PC's, both running OpenDOS 7.02 beta_1, and both have 3C503 NIC's connected with thin coax. The connection passes the echo test run by the 3Com 3C503.EXE utility (as well as the individual level 1 & 2 diagnostics). My problem is that neither PC appears to see the other one when the network starts at boot time. The client PC issues: Workgroup FMSLIBRARY not found Do you wish to search? Y Reading all known networks from router . . . 0 networks found Workgroup FMSLIBRARY not found The server PC comes up & I can logon to the workgroup, but "NET DIAGS" and "PNWDIAGS" show only that PC's network card. I used SETUP to install PNW on both PC's; one as a server with workgroup FMSLIBRARY, and the other as a client. I have tried various combinations of interface card config's: ethernet 802.2, 802.3 & ethernet-II. What am I missing? Please help me stave off the software vendor's recommendation of Win95/WinNT-server for this tiny (eventually 4-5 PC's) dos application.
