I have rolled some of my own things, but I don't have any desire
to code full utility sets.

Naw, I'd rather use and build upon existing free source.  With a
GNU touch. ;o)

I've nothing against Caldera either BTW.  I'm just heavily
disappointed by their reversal.  No big life changing event to
me...  ;o)
