Note that it has always failed for me on any file that I edit in a join'ed 
directory. 

Another bug: you cannot remove a directory from a join'ed directory.

eg

c:\games

(games is really f:)

c:\games>md games   <-- ok
c:\games>rd games    <-- no can do
