My urgent problem at the moment is: How do I get any upper memory blocks? I have configured dosemu.conf to make CC000-DFFFF RAM, but I cannot use the OpenDOS EMM386 or HIMEM to access it, even with: DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS /Chipset=RAM /USE=CC00-DFFF /Chipset=none gives the same problem - it complains that XMS is already present; if I turn that off in dosemu.conf the error is "No supported chip set present or no shadow RAM." Using EMM386 with various GateA20 options doesn't work either. Any other experience in running OpenDOS really nicely under Linux would also be appreciated (especially relating to different startup options under dosemu). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Aitchison, Physics & Astronomy \_ Phone : +64 3 3642-947 a.h. 3371-225 University of Canterbury, (/' Callsign: ZL3TQE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
