Rik,

haven't tried opendos on an xt yet, but I have been using them as Linux
terminals (booting off a 720kb floppy that also held the driver and
terminal prog) using 3Com etherlink II (3c503 ??) cards. They are good
standard cards with drivers easy to find. Ask locally, someone is bound to
have a stack of them lying about as they were a standard for many networks
a few years ago. I doubt if new 8 bit cards have been made in years.
