There are two things, I'd like to correct myself: - When I spoke of SWITCHES=/F, I actually meant SWITCHES=/N to disable the / skip/single-step feature. - However, even if SWITCHES=/N appears to be scanned before the normal CONFIG.SYS processing, this is not the case (and this is, why I could not find it in the sources... ;-). After all, its strange behaviour is just a matter of it's function and the fact, that COD interprets CONFIG.SYS rather than compiling it. Still true: If you are using SWITCHES= and want it to behave similar to MS-DOS', it needs to be placed in the very first line of CONFIG.SYS. I'm currently thinking about adding a new pre-scanning of CONFIG.SYS to cope with some of MS-DOS' features. This would relax the problem with SWITCHES=. For backward compatibility, to disable the pre-scanning to become effective, a new SWITCHES=/P could be introduced... ;-) Matthias PS: For those waiting for my IBMBIO.COM update: It will come as soon as I have finished tiding up the sources. However, I'm permanently inventing new features, so this may take some more time... I'm thinking about making a *binary* alpha version available via my web-pages within the next days, reflecting the current status of the file. Hope to receive all your comments and bug-reports... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Snail mail: Matthias Paul, Ubierstrasse 28, D-50321 Bruehl, Germany New eMail : Web : URL: http://www.rhrz.uni-bonn.de/~uzs180/mpdokeng.html --------------------------------------------------------------------
