It might show some promise. According to the people at Caldera, there should be some tcpip protocol forthcoming. Whatever they do, hopefully it'll be visible across the tasker. I know that ethernet worked for it, so I see no reason why ppp shouldn't. Also, the ppp driver can be written to a batch file that would check for the driver being loaded before exit, and redial if the driver isn't loaded. But, I guess klos ppp is better. Except the telnet and ftp stuff won't work with it. What I'd really like to see run is the real Lynx client. It'll do all you'd ever need. FTP, news, web, and maybe evn telnet, I've never tried it for it. It'd be nice, I like it under every other system I've ever used it. > > voice is the best DOS irc client i've seen for now. DOes it have rfc1213 ? I need to be able to get onto efnet thru dos, since that is where the opendos channel is located. If not, then maybe the official irc channel should be moved to a different server. I've managed to get onto irc.blackdown.org with it, and they might be willing to host it, as long as they see it as a GNU project. Besides, it's a huge network, and there's only maybe 100 people on it at any given time. OK, ttyl. > ______________________________________________________________________ # Curtis D.
