What it does is to adjust the default: number to the number the user wants after displaying the menu from config.sys and then reboot the computer. Of course, the user doesn't make a menu selection so their selected default is then used. The neat feature about this is that while it works, it also talks when being used since it's run after the speech synthesizer is active. I know this is supported for msdos 6.22, don't know if it will work in opendos though. jude
