If you try to use multiple instances of the same program (e.g. NC in multiple tasks), such problems are usual under a multitasker. You can avoid some of these problems by setting the file attributes of the shared files (normally the .COM or .EXE files) to 'Read-Only' (if this is possible for your application). Veit Kannegieser's small DENYNONE utility addresses a similar problem with 'old' programs opening files in 'compatibility mode'.
