And you WILL be able to use FAT.

ext2 is not FAT it is ext2.  Perhaps our discussion should be
taken to the developer list so that we don't get "users"
misunderstanding the inner workings of the operating system and
filesystems.

This is our own fault I'm afraid.  I am going to reply to the
developer group for all future messages to avoid having to
explain the technical details to "users".

This is a totally rediculous statement.

Then don't use it.

If you'd have done your homework and read the list archives,
you'd have realized that this is exactly what has been planned
from the beginning.  No one has ever said "lets destroy FAT and
replace it with ext2".  Get your facts straight.
