Univbe 5.3 (pure DOS version) has what it refers to as 'DirectX2 emulation' I cannot imagine what that is, or how it would work... Scitech seem to have most SVGA manufacturers wrapped around their finger, so we might get lucky. Personally I have a suspicion that Microsoft may kill DirectX, annoying beyond measure the programmers who also had to migrate from DOS to WinG to directX to Son-Of-DirectX... It is said that DirectX will not work on NT, Microsoft's vision of the future. >I have no idea as to how difficult this would be and >whether any manufacturers would support it but I think >that it would be a great idea. >(It would, naturally, be in a separate package from the kernel) > -- > John Fremlin (dfremlin AT facstaff DOT wisc DOT edu) > (fremdh AT essex DOT ac DOT uk) > Back off man, We're scientists!!!
