I had the same problem with WW6. I don't remember 
for the solution exactly, but read the share.exe
documentation in dosbook. There is a parameter
that tells the max. number of files to open:
increase this number. And also try increase the
FILES in config.sys . It it true that the two
kernels are not totally compatible.
