Ok, so what's the list of compilers that might work ok? lcc would need a 16-bit DOS real mode back-end code generator (I feel this is too big a task considering this is only a tool toward our goals). bcc? Does it compiles itself under DOS? Can it produce .COM and .EXE files? Would we need to port a libc to it? Micro-C... Supports only a subset of ANSI C (or is it K&R C? whatever, a subset of C).
