I think, what you need is a small utility to free orphranted System File Table (SFT) entries for the locked file. Some while ago, I had written such a tool, but I cannot remember it right now, if it worked well under Novell DOS. As I recall, support for one necessary API function was missing in the kernel implementation, or were there differences in the SFT entries??? I have to check this out at home, again. If successfull, I'll send you the utility...
