i've noticed a couple interesting things about opendos.  first, my
1.44MB disk drive has NEVER worked in opendos.  i've managed to get one
directory listing off of the disk once, but then i get all sorts of
interseting i/o errors.  i've tried with multiple memory configs and none
seem to work.  i really like my disk drive and i wanted to use it
yesterday, so i put in my old ms-dos 6.22 boot disk.  suddenly i couldn't
use my disk drive in ms-dos!  i would get 'general failures' whenever i
tried to do anything!  noo!
