IT's more than that, W(% violates compatibility by using non-documented
calls to intergrate itself into dos7.  When you do a straight boot, the
windows stuff never gets loaded, but dropping into a dos session means
you're getting an intergrated dos7, think of it as a 'command line
window'.  What's really neat is that the LFN's are there, but dos7 can't
see them because the enhancement isn't there.
