What do you think about fvwm95? i hate it but you should like it ;) > This > is because I find that more features that I want > are already implemented, and that the ones I want > that are not already there are easy to implement. > X-Windows is marvelous, but getting an X wm to > be really efficient for my use just takes far > too much time. It is *flexible*. We have about 20 lose-doze-95 machines in our office - and a bit less than ten Unices. There is no Unix desktop that looks like another one - and no MustDie'95 desktop that really differs from another one. I prefer OpenLook - just play a bit with configuration files and it looks great! And about Sux'95.. it is really terrible that window manager does not appear as a separate process.. when i try to click on [X] button to kill the task - and i can't just because as soon as i have that window active - cursor changes to something that indicate that task is busy! I DO NOT CARE I JUST WANT TO KILL IT! Really annoying. > Myself, I like file trees, because > I deal with files an awful lot, and cutting/pasting > files in 95 is faster and easier than anything > else I've used for files -- particularly across > a network. I've got a terrible time i was forced to unpack and write to disk some files on machine that had no command-line unzip - winzip only. What a shit. And for X - i do nearly everything from shell windows. I even do not run any guish filemanagers at all. --- _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Must be a visit from the dead.. _| o |_ | | _|| | / _||_| |_ |_ |_ CU in Hell .......... Arkan#iD |_ o _||_| _||_| / _| | o |_||_||_|
