The third category? People like me. I don't have any love of Microsoft and their products, there is some stuff I don't like, and the rest I can take or leave. However, here in my office I run Linux on one machine and Win95 on another. Why do I run Win95? Because I do Dos work and I like the long filenames (makes swapping environments between Linux and Dos a lot easier) and I also need to use Win95 software. Would I switch to some Win95 clone? Probably not. The reasons for switching are not because I "don't know any better" or becaise I'd love to "lick Bill's...". The reason is simple, if you are going to run Win95 software, run it on Windows 95. If an alternative environment became available and if it was solid and offered benefits over Win95 then I'd consider it. Until such a day I'm gonna be sensible (because I do know better) and stick with the environment the software was intended for. This kind of "Win95 users haven't got a clue" flys in the face of many basic facts and is nothing more than hype and advocacy, just the same kind of hype and advocacy you see from the over-pro-MS types. -- Take a look in Hagbard's World: | w3ng - The WWW Norton Guide reader. http://www.acemake.com/hagbard/ | ng2html - The NG to HTML converter.
