Wow, that's truely spectacular! Something interesting is amiss. If you changed it back, surely nothing will be different once you've reinstalled it, but something clearly IS different since it works again! Say, if you sent me your config.sys and autoexec.bat in each of the three states - working, changed to /D:WHATEVER, and changed back but still not working, l'd be dead grateful since I could satiate my curiousity and possibly find a fix... > jude ABW -- Alaric B.
