What does a > newsgroup due that this cannot? 1. All common news clients thread messages. Many common mail clients don't. 2. It's easier to find a newsgroup than a mailing list. 3. There are well-known archives for newsgroups (Deja News) but not for mailing lists. 4. It's easier for people with common clients to filter news than to filter mail. 5.
