I've just discovered that turning off Windows' 32-bit file access gets rid of the error; i.e., now that I have 32-bit file access turned off, I can C:\BOOGER> COPY ARGH.PRN \WIGGLY with no problem. With 32-bit file access turned on, this command would give me the "Source and Destination cannot be the same file" error. I have left 32-bit disk access on. FWIW, Roger Ivie ivie AT cc DOT usu DOT edu
