However, I see no point in using dBase or any other complex DBMS for this simple problem; Your libs.dat could be a text file with the following entries: - Library name - Version - Path This file would be updated by any conforming installation program. All the library management problem would be done exclusively in memory, as to reduce the amount of time needed at application startup. Just my 2c worth! Filipe
