I have nwcdex.exe running my panasonic cr523 cdrom drive.
Had to install it with plug and prey and when I installed the sound card
software it
walked all over my bernoulli drives as usual, but that can be uninstalled
just as easily.
The thing is, the sbcd.sys driver doesn't work with
opendos but the older sbide.sys driver does work.
The sbide.sys can be found in cdforum on compuserve in library 11 too.
