Reply-to: jamesl AT albany DOT net Sender: owner-opendos AT mail DOT tacoma DOT net Precedence: bulk I have verified and confirmed a problem with OpenDOS that M$DOS doesn't have - OD won't boot from a second partition. M$DOS doesn't care as long as the partition is primary and bootable, but when I try OD on it, it hangs with the message "Can't load DOS file." However, OD boots successfully from the first partition on the hard disk, and M$DOS does so from EITHER one. So, wherein lies the problem? I have posted previously on this, and was ignored by all but one person, and that person seemed to be condescending (although I may be wrong). He stated that I should try a boot manager, to which I responded that I HAVE one, and I sent him a(n) (old) copy. It happens to be freeware, and can be obtained from: ranish AT intercom DOT com http://intercom.com/~ranish/ Please respond only to the list or to me personally, since I will receive both. Thanks to all... Jim jamesl AT albany DOT net or http://www.albany.net/~jamesl/
