I've heard talk on this list about programs that allow multiple OS's on a single system. I have reinstalled OpenDOS on the 2nd partition on my only (currently) HD, and I'd like the option at boot time of selecting either M$DOG or OpenDOS - this way, when I get a stable, fully functional release of OD, I can install it to my primary partition (#1) and use the 2nd "primary" partition to test new releases (including those with improved FS!). My machine is for personal use, though, and I don't have the cash to spend on something like System Commander. I have heard of GRUB, but don't know where it is or how well it works, and I am wondering if any of you have any reliable programs that are FREE and that you could send me. I used FIPS to split my original partition, and tried using PART and BOOTEASY 1.4, to no avail with the current (pre-release) version of OD. I get the message "Can't start DOS" or something like that. Any suggestions? Thanks :-) Jim jamesl AT albany DOT net or http://www.albany.net/~jamesl/
